-There are numerous reasons why I train with T3 – good coach:
athlete ratio, convenient and numerous training sessions, a
wide range of athletic abilities represented among the members
and, of course, regular social gatherings. But the #1 reason I
am and will continue to be a proud member of T3 is that I’m
mentored by coaches who genuinely want me to succeed and to
enjoy being an athlete.

If you're looking for a sport
that challenges you as much as possible, then Austin T3 - Total
Technique Training has just what you need!
Triathlon - a combination of swimming, cycling and running -
is a fantastic way to learn new skills and stay in great shape.
But just how hard is it to combine three disciplines in one
long distance event? The three disciplines are run back-to-back
and the winner is the first athlete to finish. There are four
types of triathlon and the Olympic distance is the classic event
which consists of a 1.5km swim, a 40km bike ride and a 10km
run.
As vital as the speed at which athletes complete each discipline
is the changeover in the transition areas where a dropped second
can prove costly.
Swimming starts the event, with competitors diving into the
water in a large group or wave. They can perform any swimming
stroke but as speed is of the essence freestyle is the preferred
option.
On the cycling section, athletes must compete without the
drafting privileges that road races receive and must carry
their own mechanic equipment. No outside help is permitted
when a flat occurs.
The run is fairly simple to grasp as the athlete competes
with whatever energy he/she has left.
So what are you waiting for? Get out and give triathlon a
go! Here are some small helpful tips.
· Don't go off too fast - it's a long race so conserve
your energy
· Be prepared - races are won or lost at the transition
stage
· Have fun and smile when you cross that finishing
line!
