What I think really sets T3 apart is the wonderful spirit of the team.  T3 is a place where we all can gather in the spirit of training and racing and a place where we encourage one another even if we're racing "against" one another.  Even when training can become challenging or difficult, T3 is a place that we all want to come back to day after day.

T3 Swimming Programs

Swimming with T3 is a great way to improve your aerobic conditioning while also incorporating multi-sport training into your weekly schedule.  At each T3 Swim Practice, T3 Athletes will work on technique and efficiency through drills, specific pace sets and direct stroke feedback from coaches.   Swim equipment (paddles, pull buoy, fins, kickboard) is incorporated into the workouts to help swimmers develop the appropriate strength needed in the water.  The workouts are done entirely swimming the freestyle stroke (stroke work available for advanced swimmers upon request).  T3 Swim Workouts are approximately 1 hr. 15 minutes in duration.   Athletes may schedule a personal training session to have their stroke analyzed using video equipment.  This can also be done in small groups upon request.

What to Bring:
Goggles/Cap
Swim Paddles
Pull Buoy
Fins
Kickboard

Note:
T3 Coaches can provide equipment product suggestions at practice - not required for first swim practice.

The T3 Swimming Program is broken up into two different training levels: T-ONE and T-TWO.  Each workout will include athletes of all levels, so the coaching staff will place athletes in lanes based on experience and ability.

T-ONE: (Beginner & Intermediate)
This group is for beginner to intermediate triathletes and swimmers who are ready to start training at the basic group level. Most T-ONE swimmers have had limited experience with an organized training group, so an emphasis is put on practicing drills and aerobic conditioning with guidance in pacing.  The average distance of a T-ONE workout ranges from 1,500 to 2,600 meters.  To maximize success in the training, it is recommended that T-ONE swimmers train 2+ times per week.

*It is highly recommended that all beginner and intermediate level swimmers take the Stroke Technique & Efficiency Clinic prior to joining the T-ONE Training Group.*

T-TWO:
(Advanced)
This group is for advanced triathletes and swimmers who have achieved a high level of proficiency in the water and wish to progress at the most rigorous levels of competition.  Swimmers will incorporate technique drills into each workout to maximize efficiency and power in the stroke.  The average distance of a T-TWO workout ranges from 3,000 to 3,500 meters.  T-TWO swimmers practice 3+ times per week.
